Jump - first animation

http://img152.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jumpxw4.swf

My first animation with pencil, the background was added after the animation so forgive the randomness. Thank you for this blessing Pascal, Pencil rocks! Can't wait for future releases. smile

Re: Jump - first animation

Hey thats really good. One tiny thing that bugs me though. he does this cool jump and lands and that looks all great.. but he just pops right up in one frame.. i think he should pop up a with a little bit of stretch on him.. then settle back to his normal stance... then the look behind him action.

But yeah.. great stuff. You should create a youtube account for your stuff and then you can just embed the player in this thread.

Re: Jump - first animation

You mean that you would like an extra stretch frame between the squash pose and stance pose? Anyhow, it's impossible for me to continue on this animation as the workfile lost data after I opened it again - things were missing and I don't know why. Thanks for the feedback. smile

Re: Jump - first animation

No harm done really. I liked the outcome as it was. I'm also waiting for future and more stable releases of pencil so I can get going on something more serious. smile

Re: Jump - first animation

What Operating System are you using? I admit I have had some issues with some earlier versions of Pencil, but this latest seems pretty stable to me. You should export to .mov or .avi or whatever... its my experience that when you involve flash anywhere, things get wacky tongue

Re: Jump - first animation

I use windows XP, so no .mov. Also, exporting doesn't make much of a difference if I want to continue to work on something another day... tongue

That looked awesome.  I just found the site and joined today.  I can't wait to get started with the program.
